An adventurous half term week

An adventurous half term week

Learning never stops at Light Hall. Even over the half term break our students and staff were busy, both in school  and in Europe. Year 11 students came in to school to study for their science and English examinations, which are imminent.

Our GCSE historians were in Belgian, visiting the Battlefields and our intrepid sportsmen and women were in Andorra, skiing and snowboarding in the beautiful mountains.  Both educational visits were a great success, students gained much from them and my thanks to all staff involved for giving up their time and half term break to lead the visits.

Congratulations, as well, to Ethan B W for his participation in the world jujitsu championships and for coming fifth. What an incredible achievement.  All students are to be commended this week on the way they have quickly settled back down to hard work and study. Year 11s are very busy preparing for their second mock examinations next week.  They are to be commended for their excellent attitudes and commitment.

My best wishes for a  fulfilling weekend.
