Active Participation

Light Hall was buzzing last night.  Crowds of prospective students and their parents came to see just what we have to offer as it was our annual Open Evening. There was a wonderful atmosphere as our students demonstrated their learning and skills in all areas of the school. Eleanor and Callum, our Head girl and  Head boy, Saba, Tyler, Sereena and Tom in year 9 all spoke to parents about their experiences at Light Hall. Our new vocal group sang beautifully  to welcome everyone.

We were very proud of all our students who came to help out last night, and there were so many of them! They did a wonderful job and were a credit to the school and themselves.

Congratulations this week also go to all our year 11 geographers who completed some excellent field work last Friday, Mrs Tomkins was very pleased with them.

Examples of the excellence of our students come from beyond the school gate. Owen Astle-Kelly in year 7 has been commended by his scout leader for the excellent way he spoke to an audience of over 200 people at the Scout Association Council in Conference in London. Very well done to Owen!

My best wishes for a relaxing weekend.
