Sports Day, Maths & the Yellow Brick Road

Sports Day, Maths & the Yellow Brick Road

Very well done to Endeavour House who won the overall championship. My thanks to Miss Johnson for organising such an excellent day for us all.

We have been following the yellow brick road all week, with our wonderful production of the Wizard of OZ. Performances have just got better and better throughout the week, we are all looking forward to this evening’s final performance. Thank you to Mrs Wyatt and Miss Davis for all the work they have put in to coaching and supporting our very talented actors and singers.

Wednesday saw us celebrating our marvellous mathematicians. Miss Matthews presented the bronze, silver and gold awards for the national maths challenge. It was impressive to see just how many of our students achieved such a high level in this challenging national competition.

Students will also be bringing home merit and subject braid awards this week, based on their hard work over the year. They will be congratulated by their Head of Year and peers in our celebration assemblies next week. Very well done to everyone who has received an award. Thank you in advance to the many parents who will support in ensuring that braids are ironed or sewn onto blazers for September!

Entries have continued to be made in the Golden Book this week. Congratulations to Alana-Mai W, Lottie P, Lolly B, Amy G, Kelsie S and Ruth H for their excellence in hockey and Isaac B for his outstanding performance in tennis.

My best wishes for the weekend.
