Cycle safety, sports & special students

I know that parents and carers whole heartedly endorse the safety messages we teach in school. Thank you for your continued support in this. Should any parent or carer need any more advice or guidance about online safety, please do not hesitate to contact school.

I have had the pleasure of meeting a number of students this week to congratulate them on their outstanding effort and behaviour. What has particularly impressed me is the way in which each of these young men and women have demonstrated that they are living out our core values, not only in school, but in their own time and in the community as well.

Sporting success has certainly been one of the themes of this week. You can read about the achievements of many of our young sportsmen and women later in “The Word”. Congratulations also to Challenger House for their success in the house finals this week.

Very well done to Joe H for his excellent leadership skills, Jayon W, Aliyah K, Sienna-Mae B, Kian D and Lola W for showing care and respect in the community and Saffron A for her excellent work in ICT.

We wish Mr Gallagher, Mr Cooney and Mr Blunt all the very best for their marathon runs on Sunday. These gentlemen are running on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support, Birmingham Childrens’ Hospital and Bliss respectively. My best wishes to all of you for a restful weekend.
