Happy Half Term

Practical examinations have already taken place in drama and catering. Our actors and cooks are to be commended and complimented on their excellent behaviour, noted by the visiting examiners, and their resilience shown in all of their examination activities.

I have met with my Heads of Faculty this week, reviewing our strategies and planning for the coming months.   All report how well our students are responding to the level of challenge in lessons.

Our ski trip is setting forth in search of snowier, and even colder climes and we look forward to hearing about their adventures on their return.   My thanks to the staff who are taking the time to offer this wonderful opportunity to our students.

The senior team, Governors and myself, are really looking forward to the Orchestras of Solihull Schools in Concert at Warwick Arts Centre tonight. The concert is a showcase of many local schools musical talent, both primary and secondary. Our students have been lucky enough to work alongside children from neighbouring schools, musicians from the Royal Conservatoire and the BBC Concert Orchestra.   It promises to be a delightful evening of musical entertainment.

Finally, can I draw your attention to our uniform policy which I have attached to this week’s edition of the Word, particularly the policy on haircuts, shoes, and earrings and jewellery

Wishing an enjoyable and restful half term.  We look forward to seeing everyone again on 26th February.
