Happy 65th Birthday

Year 11 are working really hard and we have had excellent attendance at revision sessions, in between the exams.

Years’ 7-10 are getting ready for their end of year assessments, with Year 10 putting their revision strategies into practice following our assembly on exam techniques.   They are all armed with their highlighters ready to help them spot the key words within the questions.

Next week we are looking forward to interviewing applicants for Senior Prefects roles next year.   I have been so impressed by the high standard of the letters and this can only bode well for the actual interview.    All candidates are to be applauded for their submission.   These skills will be invaluable for applications to colleges, universities and, ultimately, when they apply for roles in their chosen careers

Our Rounders team are to be commended for their recent win against Heart of England and we hope all our athletes will be taking part in the trials for the team on 23rd May.

I have seen Waleed R, Daniel H, Cerys L, and Lita G for the golden book with our students excelling in maths and poetry challenges.

Finally, I want to wish a very big congratulations to Gary Harding, our site manager.  He is 65 today and not only is it his special birthday, but he is retiring after working at Light Hall for over 21 years.  Happy birthday Gary!
