New Blog Post

Our new year 7s joined us for the day on Wednesday. They settled in very quickly and coped well with our dining system and vast site. We are very much looking forward to September when they will be part of our learning community.

The  intense heat has not stopped play, cricket matches and borough athletics competitions have continued. Our students are to be commended on their participation and contributions to all of these events.

On Wednesday we have our house athletics championship to look forward to. In light of the forecast of the continuing heatwave we are changing the timing of the athletics championships so that our students are not competing in the intense heat of the afternoon.  If you would like to join us for the morning and have not yet informed us that this is the case, please let Mrs Edwards know ….

Please ensure that your child comes to school on Wednesday in their PE kit, with sufficient sunscreen, a sun hat and plenty of water. They will need their equipment and books for period 5 on Wednesday.

We are, of course, looking forward to our “Night at the movies” on Thursday and Friday next week. I popped in to some of the rehearsals this week and I can assure you that we are in for a real treat.

The following students have been to see me to sign the Golden Book:  Paignton G, Sajid A, Daisy M, Jake E and Jess B, all for achieving excellence in Mathematics and Ellie W for outstanding writing. Very well done to all these students.

My best wishes for a peaceful weekend.
