We've made a good start..

Our geographers have already completed their field work, visiting Birmingham city centre, to take a closer look at environmental issues and the impact of regeneration. Extra curricular activities are in full swing in school, with some of our students taking part in the Cross Country event slightly further afield last night. Very well done to all our participants.

Our students’ hard work has been impressive this week. In the lessons I have visited, it has been good to see the excellent questions being asked, demonstrating that everyone is thinking deeply about what they are learning.  The immense pride everyone is taking in their work is also very pleasing.

“Show my Homework” is working successfully and I was pleased to hear that parents, too, are finding it a very useful tool.

A group of our senior prefects have been leading our assemblies this week, sharing top tips with everyone about how to make the small changes which will make a massive difference to an individual’s success.

House Assemblies will take place next week as the House event calendar comes in to play. We are already looking forward to the MacMillan Bake sale, the week after next, and, of course, Open Evening next week.

My best wishes for a relaxing weekend.
