Positivety and Progress

I must commend Year 11 on their excellent attendance, being the highest in the school. This is reflected in the tremendous progress they have made so far.  The exam revision schedule is currently being finalised for Easter and we are sure, given their dedication to date, these sessions will be well attended.

Year 9 are preparing for their assessment week and I look forward to reporting back to you positively, once this is concluded.

You will see later in “The Word” that we are launching SIMS parent app, which will hopefully give a useful snapshot into your child’s school life and make updating your details very much easier.

We are delighted to hear of the success of the ski trip.   Miss Johnson had nothing but praise for our intrepid skiers.  We thank her and the staff who accompanied her for giving up their half term holiday so that our students could have such a wonderful experience.

Well done to our sports teams this week. Year 11 basketballers and footballers played well in their respective matches.

House staff and students are beginning to think about the charity events they are planning for this term.  We are very much looking forward to these.  I am always impressed by the ingenuity and creativity our students deploy when considering how best to support and help others.
