Charity begins at Home!

They have really entered into the spirit of House Charity week; there has been a buzz of excitement in the Churchill Hall every day this week as house tutor groups have organised stalls and activities to raise money for charity.  Our students demonstrated ingenuity, creativity and excellent teamwork as they challenged each other to demonstrate new skills and participate fully in everything that was available.   Houses raised an average of £150 per day for our chosen charity – Comic Relief and Cancer Research UK, which is quite an achievement in just 35 minutes a day.   Thank you to everyone involved, including house tutors and Heads of House for their support of this event.  Of course, our thanks extend to you, the parents for your ongoing encouragement at home.

Well done to our Sports teams this week. Our rugby team are through to the final – we look forward to hearing when and where this event will take place.

A special mention to year 9, their contribution to their learning about healthy relationships in PHSE this week was outstanding.

Very well done to Laiba A who has been to see me this week to sign the golden book for her outstanding work in ICT
