This subject rewards creativity and students who enjoy Graphic Design. Working with graphic techniques and materials (paper, card, flexible plastics, SMART materials) and ICT. Students will be make use of CAD/CAM to design and model their conceptual ideas which could include mobile phone design to Nanotechnology. This course is designed to encourage students to become autonomous and creative problem solvers, as individuals and members of a team. Students must look for needs, wants and opportunities and respond to them by developing a range of ideas and making products and systems. This course combines practical skills with an understanding of aesthetics, social and environmental issues, function and industrial practices.
