Parents Information Evening - Textiles

Textiles is an enjoyable subject in its own right allowing students to develop both design and practical skills and frequently releasing hidden talent. This course is designed to encourage students to become autonomous and creative problem solvers, as individuals and members of a team. Students must look for needs, wants and opportunities and respond to them by developing a range of ideas and making products and systems. It enables students to develop their application of knowledge, skills and understanding of Textiles Technology within an overall design and make based approach. It links to Higher Education with many students taking it forward into associated college courses and University degrees.
