Library - Learning Resource Centre

The Library is an information centre designed to support the learning, teaching and research needs of our students and staff.

`The Library supports and encourages reading for pleasure and provides a space for relaxed reading and quiet study.`

The Library is open throughout the school day and is also available to students during morning break and lunchtime for study, homework and research.

Are you in Year 7 or 8 and do you love reading?

Why not join our weekly Book Club being held in our Learning Resource Centre.

What is it all about? The Book Club has been designed to support students in Years 7 and 8 to develop a love of reading and to encourage students to read for pleasure.

Joining the Book Club also provides the opportunity for students to make new friends and talk about reading with others. We also have a group of Year 9 Peer Mentors who will be working with the students, giving them book suggestions and support with their reading.

Further to this, if you attend the Book Club every Monday for a whole half term, you will receive a certificate and a prize for your attendance. You will also have the opportunity to write book reviews that can be posted here on our website.

Ami Year 9 is one of our Peer Mentors and she has completed two reviews already – on David Walliams’ Billionaire Boy and The Boy in the Dress.
