We have been a specialist mathematics & computing college since September 2003.

Mathematics has long been a strength of the school.  As a specialist college in this area we aim to further promote and enhance learning in this essential core subject.

ICT impacts across the whole school.  As a specialist computing college we have been able to further increase ICT facilities, including hardware, software and learning programmes.  Teaching has been enhanced through the use of ICT as a delivery mechanism.  Student surveys and examination results show that improved access to high quality ICT has further encouraged greater learning.

As a specialist college we work actively within the community.  Our main primary schools receive ICT technical support.  We work closely with local businesses to enhance learning, and we have ambitious plans to expand and further develop an extensive programme of community adult learning.  We also work closely with local post‑16 educators and other schools and colleges.
