Charity starts at Home!

A most interesting fact was that reading for just 6 minutes can reduce stress levels.

A quick reminder about Charities Week and House Sports Competitions next week – fierce competition is building!

Our drama students went to see the Boy in a Dress at the RSC, in Stratford. last night. They thoroughly enjoyed the evening and we have been delighted to have members of the public contact the school today complimenting them on their manners, behaviour and thoughtfulness.  This only confirms what I already know about our students!

Everyone is talking about Corona Virus.    We are receiving daily updates from the Department for Education. To reassure you we have increased our daily cleaning schedules in school.   There is information in all toilets, and around the school, about the need for thorough hand washing and plenty of soap and hand sanitiser is available in school.  The Senior team and Chair of Governors have met with me and reviewed our emergency action plan, should the need arise.   Please see later in the Word for the latest Government advice.

I am looking forward to seeing all year 8 parents this evening as year 8 prepare for their options choices.  Don’t forget the deadline is Monday 9th March and the link to the information on our website is here

We wish our German language students Gute Reise as they visit Munich this weekend.   We look forward to hearing about their adventures on their return on Monday.

Congratulations to Jacob L, Billy S, Lilia J, Juliet F, Joshua Z, Imogen M, Mia H, Danny M whom I have had the pleasure of meeting this week to sign the Golden Book.  They all were outstanding in Science, and contributing to the community.

Wishing you lovely weekend.
