Year 9 are to be particularly commended for the excellent progress they have demonstrated in their mid-year assessments. This augers well for the future given that they have just started their GCSE studies. Year 9 parents should be very proud when they receive their reports today.
Sport has again featured heavily this week. We have had highly complimentary reports from the staff who took the girls to play netball at the weekend, not only did the girls show true sportswomenship but also demonstrated our core values of care and respect throughout the weekend.
I was so proud of our Year 9 rugby team last night who braved the wind and rain and showed immense resilience to come runners up in the final. My senior team and I, together with Mr Hooper, the PE staff and many parents were cheering them on from the side lines. There were many strong performances from all the member of the teams who showed determination to the end. I have had the pleasure of congratulating them to sign as they signed the golden book today.
