Goodbye January….

Year 7 and 9 enjoyed very informative PSHE days, focussing on mental health and self empowerment.  If you do have any concerns regarding your child’s mental health please do not hesitate to contact our pastoral managers who will be give guidance on where to find further assistance.  Our students hearts and minds are so important to us all.

Once again I am amazed by the high standard and efforts put into the cakes for our “Hearts for Hearts” cake sale.   As discussed last week, we are raising money, jointly with Layca Under 5s and Woodlands Infants for a defibrillator for the local community.  The way that our students and their families get involved in our charity fund raisers never fails to impress me, truly living out our core values.

Whilst I am talking about being proud of our students, I have had the pleasure of meeting lots of students this week to be entered into the golden book for excellent work in Science, IT, and L&M   Well done to George G, Kian W, Tom T, Sebastian W, Jack G, Aaron O, Maddison H, Abbie P, Mischa B, Amneet U, Megan L, Izzy D.

A reminder we have INSET day next week so students are not I n school on 5th February.   Staff will be looking at their curriculum and joining with other local schools to dive deeper into developing pedagogy and subject expertise.
