Well, what a term!

I have been so impressed with all their hard work.  Behaviour has been exemplary and attendance has been extremely good, in fact above national average in all areas.  As mentioned to you before, many studies have shown the close link between good attendance and good outcomes.   Year 11 are working very hard towards their exams and we are hopeful this effort will be realised in their results in August.   It was a pleasure to see so many parents at parents evening last night, discussing effective strategies for the last stages of revision.

Our sporting prowess has been another area in which I have had immense pride this term.  Our football, rugby. Basketball and netball teams have gone from strength to strength.  The resilience and determination our students have shown can only be commended.

The children have shown amazing community spirit and this was particularly demonstrated by all the money raised for Charity week.   I firmly believe their ingenuity and effort will stand them in good stead for their future working lives.

As we write our historians are on their way to Belgium to visit the battle fields and our musicians will be setting out on their tour during the holidays too.  Inset day today has seen staff working hard on curriculum plans.

Thank you to all parents for your continued support.  We are all very proud of our student body and know that we would not be able to maintain our high standards without your input.

Wishing you all a lovely break, hopefully in the Spring sunshine!
