Where do the weeks go?

I can only commend our Year 11 students for their excellent behaviour around school, sensible approach to their revision and the way in which they are coping with their exams overall.   The rest of the school are also hard at work getting ready for their end of year assessments.     Despite all this activity we have welcomed the JCQ exam inspectors into school and following a rigorous inspection we have passed with flying colours.    I would like to give my thanks to Mr Hemming, whose hard work and organisation enables the process to run smoothly.

We are currently tendering for our catering contract in school.   As part of this process we would like to invite two parents into school to join the tasting panel on 4th June.   The other people on the panel will consist of students representatives, staff and Governors so we can gain a rounded view of all opinions.  If you would like to register your interest in being involved in this process please contact my PA, Mrs Edwards, on ledwards@lighthall.co.uk

Thank you to all the parents who have taken part in our uniform consultation.  All your comments and views have been noted and added to those from the student voice.   I have been very impressed with the positive and considered opinions from our children.

One of the highlights of my year is always the senior prefect interviews, and I never fail to be pleased by the mature, thought provoking and interesting conversations that are held.   Good luck to all involved.

Finally, I have met Evie M, Emma C, Josh H, Connor B, Amelia S and Jamie Lee H this week to sign the golden book.  They have been commended for their excellent community service and outstanding  homework.
