Churchill Hall has rung to the sound of  much applause this week.  All assemblies have overrun because of the amount of certificates, braids and merit badges which have been given out.

The UKMT Individual Maths Challenges are lively, intriguing multiple choice question papers, which are designed to stimulate interest in maths in large numbers of pupils.

Inspirational New Leaders Of Light Hall Go To The Top July 2015

The new prefects of Light Hall School had the privilege to visit 10 Downing Street during their trip to London.  The trip enabled the ‘new leaders’ of Light Hall School to see leadership from the very top by experiencing the atmosphere of 10 Downing Street.  A once in a lifetime opportunity to visit one of the world’s most famous addresses.

Sports Day, yesterday, was just one of the highlights of this week.

The sun shone, the competitors did their very best (and that includes the teachers who took part in a variety of races!) peers cheered and encouraged all those running, throwing and jumping. 

Inspirational Summer Concert July 2015

Light Hall’s Summer Concert 2015 was a great success!  Over 40 students from all year groups performed with enthusiasm and professionalism to a packed out audience.

Back in March of this year, Light Hall school celebrated World Book Day by hosting a number of different events including a ‘design a bookmark’ event.  Charlotte Coyne (8GWE) was chosen as the winner and her bookmark was reproduced for use our school’s Learning Resource Centre. 

Goodbye to year 11 and Welcome to the new Year 7

Wednesday was induction day and it was a pleasure to welcome our new year 7 to Light Hall. They all had a wonderful day and quickly settled down into our routines. We are very much looking forward to them joining us in September – they have already made a fantastic start to their time here with their enthusiasm for learning and their excellent behaviour.
