Happy half term!

Year 11 have had their PSHE day on setting goals and a 5 part plan for perseverance, building resilience in our young people.

It was our Year 8 Options evening last night.  I hope both parents and students found it informative and helpful to choosing the next steps.   The presentation from the evening is on our website together with the Options booklet.  If you or your child has any queries or concerns please do not hesitate to email Mr Hall.  rhall@lighthall.co.uk

This week has been Internet Safety Week.  Mr Hall has led very interesting house assemblies asking the question “Is the internet a good or bad thing”  As you can imagine, there were some very differing views!     There are some very helpful resources for all the family by using the following link:  https://www.saferinternet.org.uk/safer-internet-day/2020

Please don’t forget that if you are thinking of purchasing a new skirt over half term there is now the choice of either the pleated or straight style available.    I have attached a copy of the uniform policy at the end of this edition of the Word.

Can I remind all of our students to keep themselves safe over half term, again there is further advice later in the Word.

I do hope you have a restful and enjoyable weekend and half term break and I look forward to seeing everyone return on Monday 24th February.
