Our house system goes from strength to strength and we cant wait to see what next year brings with our vertical house structure bringing even more opportunities for our children to develop and shine.
It has been a week of celebration and reflection on the academic year gone by. Congratulations to the following students who have been to sign the Golden Book for the last time this year. They are Matthew B, Dee M, Jude M, Amy C, Cerys L, Faith M, and AK W. Year group celebration assemblies have been a highlight of the week and I cannot finish the year without mentioning the wonderful performance of Maddi in the Year 8 assembly. Her dancing is out of this world and was a fine example of excellence at Light Hall.
As always, at this time of year, we are saying goodbye to some members of staff who are going on to promotion and new adventures in all parts of the world. We thank Mr Crawley, Ms Davis, Miss Farooq, Mr Gallagher, Ms Hands-Portman, Ms Linnell, Mr Lindsay, Ms Lury and Ms McDonagh for all their hard work and support of our students and wish them well.
Thank you to everyone, students, staff, parents and Governors for all the tremendous effort and support throughout the year. Everyones efforts have contributed to making Light Hall the special place that it is.
This is a bumper edition of the Word as it contains lots of information for the coming year. The school website will be updated over the holidays with calendar information, homework timetables and curriculum plans. My very best wishes for a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing all our Light Hall family again in September.
