Can anyone become a lord?

That was just one of the questions asked of Lord Faulkner of Worcester on Friday afternoon when he came to talk to Year 10 about the work of the House of Lords.  It was a fascinating talk and our students listened carefully and asked a wide range of questions afterwards, demonstrating a keen interest in how parliament works.

The GCSE examination timetable has now been confirmed and is published on our website. Year 11s are knuckling down to some extremely hard work, the lessons I have visited this week have all be very focused.

It was a pleasure to meet so many year 9 parents on Thursday evening at Parents’ Evening and I am delighted with the way the year 9s have begun their GCSE courses.

The rest of the school are working just as hard, however, there is still time to get involved in the house competitions this half term – football, gymnastics and dance, as well as the House Challenge.  I look forward to seeing which house will triumph this term!
