We have been pleased to welcome year 5 students for our taster days this week. It has been a pleasure to have them in school, they have sampled some of our inspiring and motivating lessons here at Light Hall, had the opportunity to meet our current students and enjoy our extensive facilities. We have thoroughly enjoyed having them, they were a credit to themselves, their parents and their schools.
CHALLENGE – Light Hall Sports Day 9th July Periods 1-4
Our annual sports day will be taking place on Thursday 9th July during period 1-4 (9:05-13:25).

The buzz of learning

Many students have been involved in assessments and examinations this week and everyone has been impressed by the mature way in which students have conducted themselves and taken their work and studies so seriously.

Mr Barr and I have had the privilege of sitting in many year 7 and year 8 lessons this week as we have been evaluating the work of both students and staff in these year groups.
INSPIRE – New Street Station Trip June 2015
As part of the Go4Set Engineering scheme, 12 Light Hall students were invited to take part in a behind the scenes tour of New Street station led by one of Network Rails design engineers.
Sunshine and Smiles

Despite the cold, windy start to the week Light Hall has remained a sunny, smiley place. Fortunately, now the sun has come out to match the mood in school.
